The Hollies (Lead Singer Peter Howarth)
The Story So Far!

An extract from a Hollies 2005 Press Release:

In 2004 the sudden death of who had been the band’s front man for almost five years, shocked and saddened everyone. It was a time to pause and reflect. Carl would have wanted the show to go on and for The Hollies’ great songs to continue to be performed live.

So Peter Howarth became the ‘new boy’ and lead singer. Like Graham Nash, Peter was born in Blackpool and from his very first performance with The Hollies in Germany in October 2004, his vocal style instantly authenticated those famous Hollies harmonies. He has fresh new musical ideas; one being an inspired, wistful acoustic version of the band’s hit, ‘Here I Go Again’, which has endeared him to the faithful Hollies fans.

Peter appeared in the Autum Phase of the 2004 Tour and throughout the 2005 Tour.

Since this Press release was issued, Peter has become an integral part of the Hollies and is enjoying immensely performing with them. Anyone present recently at the Royal Albert Hall, I am sure would agree 100% with this sentiment.
